The Dream of Creating

Esther Arias says her painting originates from a need to create and a wish to experiment with colours.

Esther started as a decorative artist, but was soon captivated by the magic of light and shade, which made her stand in front of a white canvas and reflect on it all that her surroundings suggested

The streets, the landscapes of Catalonia, the force of the sea, the autumn ochres or the multiple colours of spring.
Hers is an intuitive way of painting. Her paintings are unnamed, as it is impossible to name feelings.

Esther loves Barcelona. The old lady, who keeps the knowledge and style of ancient cultures in even her darkest corners.

It is in the old and modern Barcelona, a city recovered by the young who know how to look at the charm of the stones of past ages where she has chosen to open her study and art gallery. A building of the 18th century, a quarter of artisans, who work with their hands and their hearts, and who today recover, stone by stone, house by house, all those, who like Esther think that the best way towards the future is to have ones feet firmly set in their roots.
